On Memorial Day Weekend 2014, I visited Great Falls, Montana, a place I lived for almost five years. Great Falls is known for the Missouri River that passes through and its falls that were referenced by Lewis and Clark on their journey towards the Pacific Ocean.
I took these pictures of the Missouri River when the water level was high and the flow rapid. As a result, the dams were releasing water at a higher rate providing a nice spray. The weather was warm and I enjoyed walking the nearby river trails.
I recommend visiting Great Falls. There are more falls and dams on the river than shown in this gallery. I also recommend visiting nearby in Fort Benton, Montana.
